Historic & Supposedly Haunted Mansion in the Highlands offering Private Pop-up Dinners

The round Turret Room Seats 8 and offers views of Denver skyline

The Lumber Baron Inn is one of Denver’s oldest and most interesting properties. Built 127 years ago, the Victorian mansion  has been home to a wealthy property developer, the Denver Business University campus, two unsolved murders, and currently, an elegant bed and breakfast and event center. With a new executive chef and a private dining room in the top floor turret, the Lumber Baron Inn is now offering private pop-up dinners unlike anything else in town.

It is the perfect union: a private dinner party –  just you and your guests in a space as intimate as home – but in the tower of a mansion with sweeping views of the Denver skyline. Executive Chef Herb Kettleson artfully crafts multi-course meals, which are often served surprise- style (all dietary preferences can be accommodated), and paired with fine wines and cocktails. The room seats up to 8 guests and can be rented exclusively for $1000 per night.

Since the early 1970s those interested in spirit communication have flocked here with their experts and their camera crews, compiling stories and evidence of energies that exist beyond that of normal perception. You can find a few stories on the internet, or ask your private server to share his or her own version with you as an honored guest. You may even get lucky and find yourself privy to a private tour.

Ghosts aside, we do know this for sure: The Lumber Baron Inn is a unique venue with a dynamic history and an upscale, enchanted environment. The food is among the finest in Denver, though it is only beginning to being discovered, one  private dinner at a time. To find yourself enmeshed in the enchanted elegance and luxurious  privacy of the Lumber Barons Turret Room,  please call 303-477-8205 or write stay@lumberbaron.com
