Embrace your body\, mind and spirit exactly as they are\, through the transformative art of burlesque! \nTuesday February 7th \, 6-9 p.m. \nTuesday\, February 14th \, 5-6 class timeslots for private dancing afterwards. \nSpend two evenings learning the timeless art of seduction\, which comes from loving and honoring the Divine Feminine within\, exactly as it is\, and breaking out of society’s molds and ideas about what women should and should not be. We are all divine goddesses in our own right\, and through this workshop\, you will learn how to let your inner-goddess rise and rule. \nOn Feb. 7th we cover the art history of burlesque and we delve deep within our own psyche where we uncover our beliefs on women\, sensuality\, sexuality\, age\, motherhood\, pleasure\, taboo and power. \nChallenging our beliefs allows us to begin emerging and birthing our own divine\, feminine selves as we begin to move\, dance\, create and release through movement. \nWe discuss the elements of movement\, enhancement of the self through costuming\, props and makeup\, we learn the art of the peal using gloves\, stockings or boas\, and how to use the five senses to create and express sensuality. We begin the work of feeling our emotions deeply\, embodying all aspects our physical\, emotional and divine natures. \nHomework includes coming up with a burlesque/goddess identity\, finding a song\, costume and scenario to help you tell the story of your divine rebirth\, as well as putting together the actual choreography and story line of your reveal. \nThe second class\, Valentines\, Day\, is the big reveal where we share ourselves\, our stories and our emergence with each other\, either as a discussion or as a performance. DESCRIPTION:DENVER- Autumn brings many things to Highland’s notorious murder mystery dinner mansion; cooler weather\, changing fall colors\, and ghost stories! “This time of year we get a constant stream of folks wanting to hear the real ghost stories about the B&B.” reports director/actor Walt Keller. “So after working on the concept for years\, we’ve wrapped those real ghost stories together into a Halloween hunt through never-before-seen areas of the mansion. You’ve never been to a night of entertainment like Haunted House Hunt before.”\nComedy mystery dinner theater has been a mainstay at the Lumber Baron for years. As with other shows\, guests arrive at 6pm where 50-100 people could be cocktailing in the first floor parlors while outrageous actors are sprinkled amongst the party-goers. For the Haunted House Hunt\, real ghost stories will kick off the evening\, hosted by Nancy Ann Cianci\, a character supposedly listing the mansion for sale because of it’s haunted reputation. The plot thickens as the groups ascends to the mansion’s third floor ballroom where guests are told a litany of details to an unsolved mystery is revealed. Bike Squad Officer Mark Skidd ultimately arrives to solve the crime with the guests and the clues they’ve discovered for themselves.\nDinner is served by house owner & chef Joel Bryant\, who specializes in made-from-scratch\, chef-prepared\, seasonally-changed menus. For Haunted House Hunt a two-entree buffet will be offered. Dinner is included in the package price of $49.99 per person which also includes the entertainment\, (plus tax\, and gratuity).
