We are all divine goddesses in our own right\, and through this workshop\, you will learn how to let your inner-goddess rise and rule. \nOn Feb. 7th we cover the art history of burlesque and we delve deep within our own psyche where we uncover our beliefs on women\, sensuality\, sexuality\, age\, motherhood\, pleasure\, taboo and power. \nChallenging our beliefs allows us to begin emerging and birthing our own divine\, feminine selves as we begin to move\, dance\, create and release through movement. \nWe discuss the elements of movement\, enhancement of the self through costuming\, props and makeup\, we learn the art of the peal using gloves\, stockings or boas\, and how to use the five senses to create and express sensuality. We begin the work of feeling our emotions deeply\, embodying all aspects our physical\, emotional and divine natures. \nHomework includes coming up with a burlesque/goddess identity\, finding a song\, costume and scenario to help you tell the story of your divine rebirth\, as well as putting together the actual choreography and story line of your reveal. \nThe second class\, Valentines\, Day\, is the big reveal where we share ourselves\, our stories and our emergence with each other\, either as a discussion or as a performance.
